A True Friend

It is inevitable that at some point in our lives we will get hurt by our friends, after all, we live in a broken and fallen world and no human being is perfect.  When you feel the sting of pain from others, know that your Savior has an undying love for you.

Isn’t it nice to know that Jesus will always accept us, never condemn us and give us unconditional love?  He will always be merciful and ever so gracious to us all the days of our lives.  He will accept our personalities and all the quirks that go with it.  He will overlook our failures and cheer us on when we fall.  He will always forgive us of our sins when we confess them to Him.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  1 John 1:9

Jesus is the perfect friend and He will always be there for us.

“A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”  Proverbs 18:24

Our Savior’s outstretched arms and scared hands will embrace us when we run to Him for healing, comfort and acceptance.

“He found him in a desert land and in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye.”  Deuteronomy 32:10

There will be times when we experience a deserted wasteland in our own lives, but God is encircling us and instructing us.  We are the apple of His eye and His eye is the only eye that truly matters.

You are loved.
