The Biblical Role of a Husband (Part 1)

Creating a thriving, Christ-centered marriage requires a couple to embrace their biblical roles as laid out in the scriptures. But walking in this truth wasn’t always easy for me. I had to lay down my ways and pick up God’s ways so I could have a loving marriage.

Today, we’re back in our series, The Foundations of a Biblical Marriage & Family and we’re discussing the biblical role of the husband because the Bible makes it clear there are certain roles and responsibilities that we hold. Even when we don’t want to hear it. 🙂

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27

We are different sexes and we hold different roles, yet, we are equal. Satan wants to worm his way into our minds to get us to think that we have a different worth because we hold a different role in the marriage. But that’s not Truth. It’s a lie from the pit of hell.  God created the husband and wife to complement one another and to bring Him glory and one way this happens is when we walk in our biblical roles whether society agrees with it or not.

To learn the 4 distinct roles of a husband, either watch the video below or listen to our podcast.
