Kirk’s Name Echoes Across the World

I’ve sat for many days with an abundance of thoughts and tears about what I wanted to share about Charlie Kirk. I’ve asked myself why my heart is so heavy. Why the tears for a man I have never personally met?

Charlie spoke at a church Eric and I temporarily attended back in 2021. At the time, I knew Charlie was involved in politics, as I saw clips on social media, but politics wasn’t my world, and I went on with my life. Until that one Sunday morning at this small church. We didn’t even know Charlie was the guest speaker that day. The church wasn’t filled. It was just another Sunday morning. Charlie took the pulpit, not his usual interview style, and preached a message on two important points. He said:

The #1 thing that mattered most was for the church to preach Christ.

The #2 thing was to defend the freedoms for us to do so.

He further went on to say that he spends all his time and focus on #2, so we could do #1. That’s when my view of what he did changed.

Then September 10, 2025, happened, the day I saw that horrific video of him getting shot. I thought for sure God would heal him based on the following:

  • Believers around the world were praying for him.
  • His message of Christ was needed. His intellect, conviction, and courage in engaging with those who had been deceived by the lies of our culture were astounding.
  • And his bride and babies…of course, God would heal him.

But God didn’t. Instead, God took Charlie home because his work on earth was complete. He finished his mission to lift Christ up for all to see. He fought the good fight, he finished the race, and he kept the faith, and most certainly, when he entered heaven, he heard, “Well done, My good and faithful servant” from Christ his Lord.

I believe Charlie died for his outspoken faith in Jesus Christ, not his politics. Because his faith defined his politics, not the other way around. Satan doesn’t care about politics. He aims to take as many souls to hell as he can, and he’ll use whatever tool is necessary; thus, he used politics to divide and destroy. Charlie is dead because we are in a spiritual battle. The enemy came after him for the truth he was sharing.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 6:12 (NKJV)

Charlie wasn’t murdered; he was martyred. That’s why this feels different. That’s why Christians around the world are grieving over a man we have never personally met. Our flesh did not know him, but our souls did. Hence, our spirit grieves for our brother in Christ.

Charlie didn’t change policy; he changed minds, and Satan deemed that too big a threat. Scripture tells us Satan is the ruler of this world and will remain so until Jesus returns to come take His bride, the Church.

Kirks Name Echoes Across the World 1

Who would have thought that in the year 2025, the United States of America would have a Christian martyr?

In the days of idleness, indulgence, and self-idolatry, Charlie’s courage and conviction in his beliefs were refreshing and inspiring. The man debated demons and the deceived regularly — with patience.

Charlie reminded me of a cross between John the Baptist with his outspoken and radical message and the Apostle Paul, the great debater and rebuker of others. Somehow, we are okay with the Apostle Paul doing this, but God forbid if the Lord were to raise up another to do the same in the 21st century.

I am convinced that this generation would have crucified Christ if He walked the earth today.

The battle we’re really fighting is not political, it’s spiritual. Good vs. evil. Darkness vs. light. And the light of Charlie’s life, because of Christ, is advancing.

“Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. Matthew 24:9-14 (NLT)

His very public assassination will fuel the spiritual fire that has been dormant in millions of Christians around the world because Charlie was America’s Bonhoeffer.

Not revenge. Revival.

The world needs the Good News–not whispers of it. Even when Stephen was martyred, the gospel did not stop; it spread with greater power (Acts 8:1–4).

Charlie Kirk’s assassination is likely the most significant Christian event in our lifetime.  Millions of people are talking about it. Social media is alive with people asking where to find God, where to worship, and where to belong. The Holy Spirit is drawing hundreds of thousands of people to church because of Charlie’s life and death. Souls are being reached. The Gospel is advancing.

As believers, where do we go from here?

  • Go back to church if you haven’t been attending.
  • Blow the dust off your bible and get back to reading it.
  • Repent. Turn back to God. Ask God to forgive you of your sins.
  • Attend a bible-believing church. (If your church made no mention of Charlie’s assassination, find a new church. Friend, we are living in dark days, and the days are only going to get darker. We need pastors who will stand up to evil and not shrink back from it. Pastors who are not afraid to speak the truth. Pastors who will speak of martyrs because they remind us that following Christ has a cost. A martyr’s blood is not wasted, as it is the seed of revival.)
  • Go and tell someone about Jesus because death will come for all of us.

Be a Charlie. Be a threat to the enemy and you’ll change the world for Christ.

Mourn his death. Be inspired by his life. Do something to advance the Kingdom of God.

You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. Genesis 50:20 (NLT)

Live a poured-out life for Christ,
