Vessels for His Glory

I’m a vessel.  God’s vessel to be more exact.  And so are you.  Our Creator designed us to bring Him glory.  He designed us to pour into the lives of others all for the sake of the gospel message.  You might not think you’re much of a vessel based on your circumstances, but I’m here to tell you that you are!

For through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth.  He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world.  Everything was created through him and for him.  Col. 1:16-17 (NLT)

Many years ago I felt unused by God.  In my mind’s eye, I felt like a vessel that God placed up on a shelf only to be covered in dust and cobwebs.  Useless.  No purpose.  Not needed. Honestly, I didn’t understand God’s plan for my life during those long years of waiting.  I wanted to serve the Lord but chronic illnesses in my life prevented me from doing so.

I can look back now and see that God had a purpose for my life during all those years.  He was molding, refining, and transforming me to reflect more of Him and less of me.  (You know, trials will do that to a person!)

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.  2 Cor. 3:18

And now He’s expanding the ministry borders of my life. Not too long ago I was asked to co-labor in the faith with a few different ministries and I was humbled and honored that they asked me to join them.

The first ministry I want to tell you about just blows my mind.  The technology today is just over the top.  It’s amazing what people can do now with a little mobile phone.  I’m thrilled to be a partner of the new Reflect App!

Another ministry that I’m teaming up with is Managing Your Blessings– A community of women dedicated to cultivating their God-given gifts to honor Jesus. This site brings in the many aspects of a woman’s life: her faith, her marriage, her children, and her home.

God designed us women to be relational.  We desire to connect and make friendships but sometimes our pain and our insecurities prevent us from doing just that!  Every woman I know has been broken in some way, shape, or form and she has a story to tell.  Words of how God saved her, redeemed her, and restored her.

Your circumstances are no surprise to the Lord.  He uses you, your pain, your trials, and your sufferings so you can reach out and minister to others with the gifts that He has given to you.  When we take our pain and point others to Christ, we are vessels for God’s glory.

Be a willing vessel for the Lord, my friend!
