What’s Inside Your Heart?
I ask myself the question.
What’s inside my heart and I’m faced with the gut-wretching reality that my mind and emotions are so consumed with anxiety and fear that these emotonal villains feel like they are spilling over into my heart. And I don’t like it. I don’t like the lies from Satan dictating my attitude and choices all because I haven’t immersed myself in truth; the Word of God.
Sometimes I run in the wrong direction to disspell these emotions and other times I choose wisely- I choose scripture to bring the healing my tender soul needs.
I have to run to the Word of God and hide it in my heart so I’ll walk according to God’s ways and not my own. But memorizing God’s Word means we need to be in God’s word.
My friend, Carly Kerchaval has put together a fantastic resource called, Matter of the Heart, a 52-week challenge to memorize scripture.
Here’s what Carly said about why she has put this resource together…
This challenge was created with the modern-day Proverbs 31 woman in mind. In today’s world we have to be extremely intentional about carving out time to connect with God. And I believe that rather than rushing our time in His Word, we should practice the habit of meditating on it so He can speak to the depths of our soul. That is why I have created a week-long challenge for each memory verse.
Are you looking for a year-long journey that will bring you closer to Jesus and fill your heart and mind with more of God’s Word? Would you like to continuously build your faith and the courage to put your faith into action? Are you ready to hear God’s voice more clearly and create the habit of memorizing His Word?
If so, Matters of the Heart is just the book you need!
This 52-Week Memorization Challenge Has:
- Themed weekly memory verse to hide in your heart and apply to your life.
- 3 weekly challenges to put your faith into action and minister to those around you.
- A weekly devotional based on the memory verse coupled with real-life lessons and encouragement.
- An in-book journal page after each weekly chapter to jot down your thoughts and goals.
- 226 pages
