Encouraging Your Husband to Build Loyalty in Marriage

Loyalty in marriage is vital in order for it to thrive, but sometimes we have the tendency to put the kids or our extended family before our marriage and thus, cracks slowly start to take place in our marital union.

Here’s one woman’s story…

Dear Jolene,

When I got remarried to a wonderful, Christian man, all of our children were adults and seemed fine with us getting married until we did. I joined the church my husband has gone to for several years, before his kids started acting out. His children are passive aggressive, so our attempts to confront have not been productive.

People within the church who are close to his kids, will not speak when I say hello and some even turn and go the other way. I have expressed my feelings to my husband and he has agreed to pray about it but says he has not felt the Lord leading us anywhere else. How do I handle this in a respectful way to my husband?
