Because Sometimes We Forget Who We Really Are

Because Sometimes We Forget Who We Really Are

I forgot who I was today when fear came upon me.  I listened to the nasty Snake once again.  The cunning serpent loves to speak lies into our lives.  He loves to paralyze us from moving closer to God and doing what we’re called to do.  He seeks to thwart the purpose that God has for our precious lives.

But the Bible tells us who we really are…..

We are chosen and adopted by God.

Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.  Eph. 1:4,5

We are forgiven by God for all of our sins.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  1 John 1:9

We are redeemed by His blood.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.  Ephesians 1:7

We are fully complete in Jesus Christ.

And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.  Col. 2:10

We are ambassadors for the Lord.

So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”  2 Cor. 5:20

But sometimes we just plain forget, especially if we’re walking through the wilderness.

“He found him in a desert land and in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye.  Deut. 32:10

Let’s not forget who we are and Who we belong to!  We are the apple of His eye.

My friend, choose Truth today over your feelings.

Live a poured out life for Christ,
