How to Connect with Your Husband through His Love Language

Have you ever been at a place in your marriage where you’re just not connecting with your husband?  Either he’s not feeling loved by you or you’re not feeling loved by him?  It’s funny just typing out this question because I already know your answer.  It’s the same as mine.  In fact, it’s kinda absurd that I even posed the question because every couple has felt this before.  This is what one wife is struggling with in her marriage.  Here’s her story…

Dear Jolene,

My husband of 2 years is claiming that my love for him is not real. He says it feels like I’m pretending to love him and he’s not happy. I do love him and is very much so in love with him. At moments when all I want to do is cuddle up next to him and for him to hold me, all I can think about is what he’s thinking. He says he is unhappy and is not ready to divorce yet, but I have suggested counseling and he declines.

Scripture reference:

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God.  1 John 4:7
