Keeping Unity in Your Marriage when the In-Laws Have Caused Division

Is there a parent or in-law in your life who has expressed their displeasure in either you or your spouse? Did someone spew out venomous words you can’t forget? Has their behavior created a wedge between you and them or between them and your spouse?

Family relationships can often bring conflict in marriage because more people equals more sin. Learning to deal with others in a God-honoring way and staying loyal to your spouse at the same time can be a balancing act. But should we seek balance in this situation? Do we keep the peace at all cost and just brush the offense under the rug all in the name of family?  How does a wife keep unity in her marriage when a family member has caused division?
