On-Line Bible Studies
On-line Bible Studies are becoming quite popular in our age of technology. After all, they are convenient. If you can’t leave your home because of an illness, age of your children, homeschooling, or working inside or outside of the home, then you can join a study on-line. This way you can get into the Word of God when it works in your schedule. The other benefits to it is there is a sense of accountability as well as community, obviously not as much if you joined a study in real life, but maybe an on-line study is just what you need for the new year.
Here are a few on-line studies that are about to begin and I thought I’d pass the info on to you:
Good Morning Girls- Their whole site is dedicated to on-line Bible studies generally written by the team of Good Morning Girls, but not always. Their new winter study will be: Intentionally Focused, which sounds awesome, and they’ll be covering the following:
During our 8 week winter Bible study we will be focusing on:
- Our spiritual lives
- Our minds
- Our marriages
- Our friendships
- Our children
- Our ministries
- Our health
Head on over to Angela’s site and check it out.
Proverbs 31 Ministries is doing ‘Made to Crave’ starting January 19th. This is a study where food, weight-loss, and health are in mind all while centered on the Word of God.
- Break the cycle of “I’ll start again on Monday,” and feel good about yourself today.
- Stop agonizing over the numbers on the scale and make peace with your body.
- Replace rationalizations that lead to failure with wisdom that leads to victory.
- Reach your healthy goals and grow closer to God in the process.
Hello Mornings
I just learned about this site and I’m excited to dig into them even more seeing how I’d like to maximize my mornings. Their study is based on the free eBook, Maximize Your Mornings by Kat of Inspired to Action, the HelloMornings challenge was birthed to encourage Christian women toward the life-giving habit of waking up early. The first challenge formed back in August 2010 and has grown to a movement of over 4500 women, with over 200 volunteer leaders.
Challenges typically run over 13-weeks and they provide Facebook and Twitter-based accountability groups, as well as a free Bible study.
And if you’re not wanting to do an actual study during this season of your life, I totally understand! God’s not going to condemn you because you didn’t join a Bible study this season. Just seek to be in His Word, instead. Here are a few more resources to help you out with some accountability in this area:
GROW in His Word by Faith at Artistic Hands of Faith. This study is a little different in that it’s not a book but rather you reading the Word, meditating on it, observing what you’ve read, applying it to your life, and then discussing it with a community of women. Faith will have the specific Scriptures listed on her site that you will read.
No matter if you join a study or not, my heart is for you (and me) to be more in God’s Word in 2014.
