How to Encourage a Depressed Husband

I’ve been in and out of the pit of depression several times in my marriage and so has my husband, Eric.  Sometimes I can offer my hand to give him a lift out of the pit and other times he reaches down to help me climb out. That’s what friends and spouses do for one another.

But there are other times I’m sitting and scratching in the dirt of my pit and Eric can’t get me out (and vice versa). It is in those times that we need to understand that we can’t emotionally save our spouse, heal our spouse, or fix our spouse from all of the disappointment, pain, and turmoil they are living through.

How to Minister to a Depressed Husband

In this podcast episode, Eric and I discuss what a spouse can do when your other half is depressed.
