  1. Hi Jolene! I always love reading your posts and I’m looking forward to this series. Your feelings about falling short and relying too much on yourself echo my own. I have struggled for a long time (years!) with one word you used in this post: “gracious”. To me (and maybe only me) it’s always been synonymous with “doormat”. And that’s definitely NOT what I want to be. I’ve tried to find the line between courteous/friendly (read: stuffing my feelings) and rude (read: speaking the truth), between standing up for myself/keeping my own boundaries and getting taken advantage of or ignoring others’ rude behavior. I’ve already learned so much from you; I’m eager to hear more about this topic. Thank you for what you do!

    1. Oh, I like all that you shared here, Kathleen! Not sure that I can cover all of your concerns in this series, but maybe it’s something I cover in another one! So glad to have you join me. 🙂

  2. Jolene- sounds like an inspiring series. Looking forward to the next 8 weeks 🙂

      1. I know you’re busy right now but when you get the chance could you tell me how to get the free e-books (A Wife’s Guide to Understanding Biblical Submissions, In Sickness & Health, Glorifying God in Your Finances)? I’ve subscribed but can’t figure out how to download the books. Thank you for all your doing to help us to grow closer to God.

        1. Hi Rhonda,
My system automatically sends a ‘thank you’ email with the links to the ebooks. Check your spam/bulk files if you don’t see an email from me in your inbox.

  5. Yes ma’am! I can’t wait to start this with you. I will have a small group of women to join me in the next 8 weeks of this series. ♡

  6. Can’t wait! I have really needed this. I am putting it into practice, sometimes. I have walls up, I secretly and not so secretly judge others. I hope these lessons in grace help me to surrender.

  7. 10 of us in the Centerpoint Church evening “wives” class accept your challenge!! Would you give me the details so we can begin on the 22nd? We finish the Wives of the Bible study next Wednesday with a party!! 🙂

  8. I am so glad you are following God’s direction. Thank you. His timing is perfect! You have no idea how many lives have been changed because of your obedience. So many silent readers… I look forward to what you have to say about grace. Keep teaching us, Jolene!

  12. Dear Jolene,

I thank Abba Father for using your faith in Jesus Christ and be the channel for your sisters in Christ for Him to teach us some biblical truth in a very special way.

I’m really excited about “The Grace Challenge” it reminds me one of those days I was feeling broken and afraid to let Him down.

I encountered a song that really hit me.” A song of Laura Story”

    “Grace”

My heart is so proud. My mind is so unfocused.
I see the things You do through me as great things I have done.
And now You gently break me, then lovingly You take me
And hold me as my father and mold me as my maker.

    [Chorus:]
I ask you: “How many times will you pick me up,
When I keep on letting you down?
And each time I will fall short of Your glory,
    How far will forgiveness abound?”
And You answer: “My child, I love you.
And as long as you’re seeking My face,
You’ll walk in the power of My daily sufficient grace.”

At times I may grow weak and feel a bit discouraged,
Knowing that someone, somewhere could do a better job.
For who am I to serve You? I know I don’t deserve You.
And that’s the part that burns in my heart and keeps me hanging on.

You are so patient with me, Lord.

As I walk with You, I’m learning what Your grace really means.
The price that I could never pay was paid at Calvary.
So, instead of trying to repay You, I’m learning to simply obey You
By giving up my life to you For all that You’ve given to me.

I feel the need to share the lyrics,

    Thanks Jolene,

Greetings from your sister in Christ from the tiny island of Aruba!

    1. I LOVE this song. And her song called ‘Blessings’ too.
Thanks for sharing this, it ties in really well.

  13. Hi Jolene

I can’t wait to start this challenge with you, and the rest of the other ladies on here. I read all of the posts you put on online, and they help me a lot, so I can’t wait for this one. You know we all need Gods Grace in our life. I want to encourage you to let God keep using you and leading you in your ministry!

  14. Where do I find this series or study online? Obviously I’m a few months late in learning about it.
