Ask Jolene
I get emails from readers quite often and I must say that I absolutely LOVE your questions because my favorite type of ministry is one on one discipleship! Therefore, I decided to openly invite you all to ask whatever it is that you’re struggling with or the dilemma you can’t seem to figure out. If I can’t answer your question, I’ll let you know.My heart’s passion is in discipling and encouraging wives to grow a Godly marriage, single women, women’s issues/friendships, outside ministry, and the discipleship of our children.
Here’s a peak into my little corner of where I write for God’s glory. What you can’t see in this pic is my laptop computer that is resting on a basket near my feet!
Even though I’ve lived through tremendous health storms and I’ve learned to treat my body with natural medication and I’ve learned to cook and eat organic and gluten-free foods, those topics are just not my thing to write about…nor eat! So don’t expect me to share a whole lot on the subject matter!
Also, although I homeschool, I don’t write much on that either. I guess running a homeschool group for 4 years can lead a person to burn out? No, in all honesty, I found that when the mamas would ask me homeschooling questions and shared their struggles, many times they and their man were not on the same page in either their parenting, faith, or in their marriage, which led the mama to either being fearful or overwhelmed in her journey. This was not always the case, but it did happen quite often. As a result of what I experienced this led me to realize the need for more marriage discipleship amongst Godly couples.
If you and your man are on the same page in your marriage, it makes all other aspects of your life much easier to go through! That’s the leaving and cleaving principle found in Genesis 2:24. (In the KJV they use the word ‘cleave’. Here I have the verse listed out in the NIV.)
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Genesis 2:24
I know that God has called me to water His daughters; to encourage, equip, and inspire them in their faith.
The Apostle Paul planted seeds, Apollos watered them, but God gave the increase. 1 Cor. 3:6 (my paraphrase)
The Lord took me through some dark times in my life, times when I felt forsaken by Him and times when I felt like He didn’t want to use me to build His kingdom. He allowed me to experience so much heartache and pain so I could, in turn, pour into the lives of others; which is why this blog is here.
I know that my purpose in outside ministry is to come alongside the warrior for the Lord; those that are walking with Christ and those that are…
- wounded
- weary
- worried
- and the many who are wondering how to live a Godly life, (it’s the best ‘w’ word that I could come up with!)
With that being said, I just LOVE to minister to you.
So, to contact me you can either send me a personal email or leave a comment. Most likely I’ll reply to your question here on the blog so other women who might be facing a similar situation can be ministered to as well.I still have some questions that I have received from readers that I have yet to answer. I’ll get to them one by one and respond as soon as I can.
Live a poured out life for Christ,
