The Biblical Role of a Wife (Part 1)
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Psalm 32:8
It’s comforting to know that God is with us as we go through life no matter our past or present circumstances. He’s walking with us and guiding us because of His great love for us.
But sometimes we don’t want to hear His instructions because we either don’t believe He has the best in mind for us or because our flesh has a tendency to want to do life our own way, which implies that we know better than God himself, the Creator of marriage.
We’re back in our series, The Foundations of a Biblical Marriage & Family, and today we’re diving into the biblical role of a wife. This topic will certainly stir up much controversy, but sadly, it shouldn’t because it’s God’s Word and God is for us.
It is Satan who is against us.
It is Satan who lies to us.
And it is Satan who deceives us.
The biblical commands for husbands and wives fit perfectly together. The question that the Christ-follower has to ask herself is if she is willing to embrace and apply God’s word to her life even when she doesn’t like what it says or when it’s an unpopular choice?
Or will she continue to listen to the world? To Satan? Or her feelings that can lead her away from the truth?
We all have choices to make. Will your choice line up with the Bible?
