When Your Life Feels Like a Train-Wreck…& a Link Up!
Have you ever felt as if your life has been a train-wreck? Where you’re constantly colliding into one trial after another? Or you’re left to stand in shattered pieces of your broken dreams? Or you’re trying to get your life back on track but your strength fails you?
If any of this resonates with you, then know that you’re not alone because I have often felt the same way. I know what it is like to wear the tears on my face and carry the pain in my heart.
But God has taught me something through all of the shattered parts of my life. He has shown me that in spite of the hardships, heartaches, disappointments, discouragements, and the brokenness that I’ve gone through, there’s a purpose for all of it; a Godly purpose, that is!
And that’s what I want to share with you today.
I had a chance to give this message to a group of women recently and we videotaped it so you could hear it too!
If you can’t view the video, click here.
The title of the message is, The Life of Eve: The Remarkable Purpose of Being a Godly Woman. The video is about an hour long and I discuss the many different facets to a woman’s life. For those that are single, there is a message for you as well.
And because I don’t take teaching the Word of God lightly, I wanted to point out my blunders so I don’t cause you to stumble when you watch the video!
In the video I said Enoch was born of Seth. Well, I was wrong on that. Enosh was Seth’s son. Enoch was born through Cain. Both Seth and Cain were Eve’s sons but the Word of God talks about Enoch walking with God, not Enosh. Just wanted to clarify that Truth.
Also, I said at one point that we, as Believers, are not in this world, we’re of it. Um, yeah, slight screw up on that one as well! 🙂 The Word says we’re in this world, not of it! Thankfully God knows my heart when I’m up on stage mixing things up.
Of course looking back on the video I’m my own worst critic and I’ll find things that I don’t like. For example, I had to keep pulling up my pants while on stage! Note to self: wear different pants the next time I speak. 🙂 But one area that I’m not okay dropping the ball on is the teaching of the Word of God. I know I’ll never be perfect in this area but if I have a chance to right a wrong, like I can in this situation, then I will.
Now since God has taught me so much about Eve and her life and how relatable her story is to ours, I put together an outline for you to use as you listen to the message. Because there’s so much you can glean from this study my encouragement to you is to pick just one point from the 11 points I covered and ask yourself this question:
In what area of my life is God stirring my heart to work on?
To answer that question in my own personal life it would be for me to stop listening to the nasty Snake. I’d like to wring his neck!

One last thing. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all of your support! Thank you for encouraging me in this ministry and supporting me when I was fearful to move forward to answer God’s call in my life.
For those that covered me in prayer as I was preparing this lesson as well as for the time I was up on stage delivering it, I just want you to know that you were God’s instrument, a chosen vessel, to help bring forth His message to His daughters. You are needed and you are appreciated! Thank you again.

Now bloggers, it’s time to link up your posts!
I’m looking for posts on any and all things related to being a wife, i.e. homemaking ideas, ways you minister to your husband, dating ideas, and/or hearing what the Lord is telling you about your most important earthly relationship!
Link back to this community, either by using the button below or a text link. Link to your actual “Marital Oneness Mondays” post, not just your general blog address–that way if readers come by later in the week, they can click your relevant post.
Great teaching, thank you! I really enjoy your blogs, this is the first time I’ve heard you speak and your love of God is evident, as is your love for teaching people.
Awe, thank you, Donna! I’m so glad you found it to be helpful.
Thanks as always for the great post & for hosting & God bless!
